DUANE '69 - Thorndal's first Overdrive/Boost Pedal...............
They are thick on the ground: pedals, distortion modules, Overdrives and so on.
Then why create still another one?

I have tried many distortion pedals intensively and I always felt that something was left by the wayside between guitar and amp: the acoustic signals were washy, soft, undifferentiated....

So I started playing my guitars immediately via amp and let the power amplifier distort.
Great sound - hm, but a bit loud...

Next try: a combination of high class booster and amp, but - the handling wasn't really better.
Okay.
If there's nothing adequate available on the market, one has to act. I met a young and flexible builder of custom pedals and explained my problems and needs.
The first prototype was built - and satisfied my needs perfectly.
Now everything was coherent and finally I could have the experience to form the sound immediately with my fingers.

Duane 69 isn't a gadget you can bend the sound with. It gives the opportunity to use an overdrive sound without lowering sound's sights.
Of course the main application area isn't Heavy Metal but rather BluesRock or Southern Rock where it is of importance to transorm the feeling the guitar player wants to express in his sound.

When you compare Duane 69 with other pedals you will notice, that the intensity of distortion isn't that exaggerated. Just distortion isn't a solution! In fact the point is to get the response and attack tangible without volume orgies (even if one sometimes such orgies must be....).
Conclusion: If you want to produce passionate sound on sensible blast, you are well advised to take a Duane 69!
